I love taking pics of my athletes in shavasana. Weird ? Maybe. But hear me out.

It's a moment when I know and can see my work in action. I know that of even for a brief moment they are giving their mind and body what I needs, purposeful rest. It is a time and space where I can see the practice working, they are are a complete 180 from where they were 30 minutes prior. The stress of school, practice, games and life just melt away. It is a time when I know I am giving them a tool to deal with life as a student athlete. Even though it's a small amount of time, I know this recovery is crucial for them to reach peak performance. Maybe it's not that weird after all.
