4 H's

There are moments when I work with teams that I am moved and impacted in a profound way. The moment is not about wins and performance but about being human, being part of a family and community. Sunday night after practice was one of the moments. After each practice an athlete is sharing their history, heartache, heroes and hope's, 4 H's. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it . History: I was born and raised in Texas. I am the oldest and only girl. My family's love language is sports of all kinds. I went to Texas A&M and never missed a home football game in 4 years. Heartache: My first born Cooper was born with a heat defect and passed away after open heart surgery when he was 3 weeks old. I did not know that capacity with which my heart could love and break at the same time.

Hero's: Yoga. It saved me. My son Chace. He is my greatest challenge and greatest joy. He is my whole heart. Cooper, my guardian angel. I would not have the life I have without him.

Hopes: I want to inspire others to live their story out loud. Yes, hard things happen, but we have a choice in how we respond and choosing to show up and love will always win. UR Men's Soccer team, you inspire me with your commitment to each other, to being a family and with your heart. I would love to hear your 4 H's. Drop them in the comments.
